I have something that can solve them/
tell me about that guy that cut you off in traffic the other day/
tell me about how your boss didn't give you a raise in pay/

sing the song of "the victim" while I play the world's smallest violin/
confess it to me privately so I can absolve the sin/

its sad to see humanity dying at the feet of a vulture/
morally bereft, obsess over celebrities in a so-called "first-world" culture/

can we save the world with 200 billion dollars instead of investing in invasions on another nation's sovereignty?/ (the answer is no)
but maybe we can save one mother, one man or this child from poverty/

She is special because she is our child; she is the baby we have conceived/precious child indeed, closer than the air we breathe

but she is dying of starvation with stomach in distention/

it is useless to blame anyone for this child's suffering and that is not my intention/

I just want to remind you not to take your life for granted which is something someone forgot to mention/

perhaps when we can love outside of our personal strife, fear and petty grief/ we will learn to love God while she is crawling at our feet

British Sci-fi
Yeah, we get Dr. Who on the Sci-fi channel. I remember watching Dr. Who and another british sci-fi show called Red Dwarf as a kid (i was a strange kid). I haven't seen the whole second series yet... its getting good. So far Mick has chosen to stay in an alternate universe to fight the Cybermen which will no doubt lead to further "lovey-dovey" relationship development between rose and the Dr.

Marvel vs. DC

books of magic = harry potter for young adults (written before j.k. rowlings penned the bespecled hero of hogwarts)

I am also partial to Marvel. However, DC has got some really good stuff. I used to read this one called Books of Magic from Vertigo (dc). It was like Harry Potter on crack. If you get a chance you have got to check it out.

Comix to Movies

I never get my hopes up on Comic movies. The only one I really, really, enjoyed has been Blade. X-Men series is alright considering how much story they have to cover. I must admit they did a good job on Wolverine. Halle Barry is hot but NOT (in my oppinion) the best storm in the world. Storm is a tall powerful take charge black woman with an almost menacing presence of strength like Angela Basset in stange days. Iman looks exactly like a real life storm to me.

Iman as Ororo, African Goddess.

Ghost Rider definitely looks ultra cool, but so did Spawn. :(...
What a disappointment that was.

I was a 25 year old Staff Sergeant, an old man compared to the group I was baby sitting, mostly high schoolers that had just joined the Air Force, ages 17-20. We were all in our last week of Computer Operation training.  I'd been away from home for four months, but some of those kids had been away from home for nearly a year due to basic military training and tech school.

When got to Burbon Street, the 19 year old blonde's double DD's were flashed at me. I laughed. Titties like that were the very reason Cross-training Sergeants weren't supposed to hang out with new troops fresh out of basic. Stangely, I didn't have any desire to pursue (I thought about it). She was fair game, but too young in the mind for me, a woman's body with 14 year old mind. The best I could do was make sure no one took advantage of her (at least no more than she would agree to with 14 year old judgement).

Besides the tities, the alcohol and vomit smell was the first thing I noticed about Bourbon Street. When I saw the 6'6 turquoise transvestite with buttox exposed walk passed, I knew that all bets were off.

"Soddom & Gommorah," I thought. "This place is going to get nuked." Old elitist enthnocentric views on morals cropped up even after I'd long since abandond them. I felt sinfully blissful grinning at the beautiful debauchery and hedonistic, materialistic idol worship frolicing naked all around. "Now I know why Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt," I thought as I smoked a cigar in the Co-ed sex show. It is an orgy for all the senses at once. Bourbon street was a culture shock for me and I'd lived to Korea, Guam, and Montana.

That night, six years ago now, would be one of my last night of wild, wreckless nights of "I will never die" youth. The highlight of the night was a girl named Charity who I'd been having recurring dreaming about for a week straight. At the time, I didn't know why I was having the dreams. Sure she was the prettiest girl in class but I had an angry pregnant wife at home, I was not trying to mess around.  Maybe the dreams were due to Charity stalking me, following me around, eyeing me from across the class and constantly seeking to make conversation with me. I'm not the brightest when it comes to women flirting it has to be the equivalent of a slap in the face for me to notice. So I guess my subconscious was using the dreams to masturbate and fantasize without me.

And now here she was hanging around my neck like a cheap necklace almost to drunk to stand.

To make a long story even longer I would like to quote the words of a great leader:

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

I hadn't had "sexual relations" for almost 5 or 6 months (not easy for me) so I'd wanted it worse than Bush wanted to find Weapons of Mass Destruction. That is my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Big Mind with Zen Master Genpo Roshi (dharmapalooza '06)

Yesterday I attended Dharmapalooza hosted by Stuart Davis and featuring Zen Master Genpo Roshi.

Genpo discussed his Big Mind technique. Although "Big Mind" it is not Zen, I found it very useful in explorer all the dimesions of the self. As well as a very good compliment for Eastern enlightenment as a Western therapeutic perspective.

Here is what I got from it:

A person is a jumble of many different emotions, repressed desires and fears. There is seemingly no order in this soup of conditioned responses and (worse) no release for those we hide from the outside world.

Genpo Roshi’s Big Mind technique gives each of these feelings, fears, and passions a first person voice. Why is this powerful? It is self therapy that allows some repressed emotional mechanisms within us to have a place without conflicting or resuracing as stress or (worse) cancer. The best way to understand how powerful this technique is is to allow some of those pent up emotions, such as Anger to speak freely in the first person. Repressing Anger (or any other emotion) is not health.

The real power is in giving each of these parts of you a title and a role. The Big Mind Technique works because it allows you to not only fully own them (instead of disassociating them or displacing them as someone else’s fault), but also organize them into efficient manageble states of shades of your self.

Integral Naked gave him a camera and unleashed him on the world. Yesterday, I saw Stuart Davis' first installment of the "Stuart Davis Show". He interviewed some dude named Genpo Roshi(excuse my ignorance, I'm not a Buddhist). He seems like somebody I would climb a mountain to talk to.

Stuart delivers such a free expression of deliberate insanity that I find it hilarious. The freedom of his antics on camera is what I like the most. At first I was curious as to why Stuart is EVERYwhere in the Integral content on Integral Naked. But the more I see of him and hear his interviews the more I see why.

Stuart is really, really passionate about Integral Theory and that passion comes through in this expression.  He exudes a freedom that is borderline pornographic yet full of non-zen zen.

Feeling for you - the other part of me

As I’ve been meeting highly tuned in, highly spiritual people on Myspace and Zaadz. I’ve noticed that I can literally FEEL the love, respect and reverence that some of these people are putting out.

It is like a warm feeling in my heart. Sometimes it is like a glowing aura. Other times it is almost orgasmic (fire in the lower chakras). Normally, these are feelings I’ve had every now and then with close family and friends and the very rare (used to be rare) feeling of instant connection with someone I just met. But lately, I’ve been feeling this affection from complete stangers.

Sometimes from my very spiritual friends on myspace and almost everytime I get an email from someone on Zaadz, I get a different temperate hue of sensation (I think it is their actual feeling when they wrote the email).

There are so many different feelings of love that I really need another name for each. I’ve heard that the people of the Arctic have 30 different names for snow. I wish I had as many names for these different feelings of love, affection and amore; my soul savors the taste of each connection like sweet flavor of a new confections. Life gets more delicious by the minute.

The pop edge of rap has really been in the toilet lately. I'm not just talking about just bitches & hoes (raunchy concepts and words can be used for good like a war movie that shows the real horror of war). It has just gotten shallow, weak and stupid.

Lately I've been craving rap that speaks to my soul, to my heart with a higher vibration. I've known of a few more positive conscious rappers like talib kweli, common, tribe called quest but I wanted something on an even higher level.
